Foxit is the answer to a question thousands of small businesses ask at renewal time: are we really paying Adobe this much to edit PDFs? For the workhorse jobs - editing text and images in place, building fillable forms, merging and splitting, OCR on scans, redacting sensitive lines, collecting legally-solid e-signatures - Foxit does everything Acrobat does, in an interface Office users read instantly, at roughly half the subscription (with a perpetual-license escape hatch Adobe refuses to offer). Heavy print-production and preflight workflows still favor Acrobat, and the upsell prompts in the app deserve a settings visit. Everyone else can stop donating to Adobe.
