SurveySparrow is a survey and feedback platform that is easy to like on features and harder to sign for on terms. Paid plans start at $19 per month billed yearly, per the pricing page checked October 9, 2026.
This is a documentation review. Every figure below comes from SurveySparrow's own pricing page, its terms of service, its homepage and one public rating site, all read on October 9, 2026.
The short answer: strong for a solo operator who has outgrown a basic form, weak for a two-person team, because every plan below Business includes exactly one user.
Reasons to consider it
- A real free tier, not a trial: 3 active surveys, 10 questions each and 75 responses per quarter, per the pricing page checked October 9, 2026.
- A low entry price: Basic is listed at $19 per month billed yearly for 2,500 responses a year.
- Feedback tooling most form builders skip: NPS, CSAT and CES surveys, 360 assessments, sentiment tagging and theme detection.
Reasons to pause
- One user on Basic and Starter; extra seats are an add-on listed at $49 per user per month.
- A 7% automatic increase on every annual renewal, written into the terms of service.
- No refund if you cancel in the middle of a paid term, per the same terms.
What SurveySparrow actually is
SurveySparrow is sold as six priced modules, not one product. The tabs across the top of the pricing page read Surveys, CX Suite (NPS, CSAT, CES), Brand (Reviews and Social), Research, Documents and 360 Assessment.
That matters when you budget. The prices most buyers see belong to the Surveys tab. Switching to the CX Suite or 360 Assessment tab changes the plan list, so the number you remember may not be the number you pay.
The pitch on top of all that is AI. The homepage names Echo AI for follow-up questions, CogniVue for theme detection, Enrich AI for tagging open text and Co-Pilot for querying results in plain language.
SmartReach AI is advertised with "up to 40% higher response rates." That is a vendor claim on the homepage, checked October 9, 2026, published without a methodology beside it. Treat it as marketing, not a benchmark.

Who it fits, and who should skip it
The fit question here is mostly a seat question. Response volume is generous at every tier. User counts are not.
- Solo founders and freelancers who need branded, logic-driven surveys rather than a plain form, the same audience served by our best software for freelancers guide.
- Service businesses tracking NPS or CSAT after each job, where a one-question survey beats a long form nobody finishes.
- Small retailers and clinics collecting steady feedback inside the 2,500 to 36,000 annual responses the paid tiers list.
- Owners running employee or 360 feedback alongside an HR system such as HiBob, or hiring through Breezy HR.
- Anyone who needs multilingual surveys: auto-translation to 130+ languages is listed, but only on Enterprise.
- Teams that want feedback inside a help desk: Zendesk and "12+ integrations" are listed from the Business plan up.
Who should skip it
- Two-person businesses on a tight budget. Basic and Starter include one user each, so a second login means Business at $60 per month billed yearly, or a $49 per-user add-on.
- Anyone who wants a refund path. The terms of service rule out refunds in the middle of a paid term.
- Buyers who only need a form. A straightforward builder such as Jotform covers registrations, lead capture and payment forms without the feedback layer on top.
What the free plan includes, and where the vendor's own pages disagree
The free plan is listed on the pricing card as 3 active surveys, 10 questions per survey and 75 responses per quarter, checked October 9, 2026.
The usage-limits table further down the same page repeats those figures and adds one active CX survey on every tier below Enterprise.
The FAQ on that same page says something else. Under "Do you have a free plan?" it states you can create "up to 3 surveys with 10 questions each and collect up to 50 responses per month."
Seventy-five per quarter and fifty per month are not the same allowance, and the page does not reconcile them. Budget on the smaller figure and confirm the real limit inside the account before you rely on it.
New accounts also get 14 days of Business features capped at 50 responses. After that the account is "automatically downgraded to the Free plan," per the same FAQ. No card is required to start.
How the pricing is structured
Billing is quarterly or yearly, and the page loads with Yearly preselected next to a "SALE" badge. The discounted annual figures are therefore the first ones a visitor sees.
On the Surveys tab, checked October 9, 2026: Basic $19 per month billed yearly, Starter $30 beside a struck-through $39, Business $60 beside a struck-through $79, and Enterprise by quote only.

Response allowances are annual: 2,500 on Basic, 15,000 on Starter, 36,000 on Business. Partial answers count as whole responses, per the page's own FAQ, so abandoned surveys still draw down the allowance.
Seats are where it tightens. Basic and Starter list one user, Business lists three, Enterprise starts at three. Additional users are an add-on listed at $49 per user per month.
Editorial arithmetic from those published figures: Business is $720 for a year, and one extra seat at $49 a month adds $588. That is roughly another 80% of the plan price for one person.
So SurveySparrow is cheap per response and expensive per head. If one owner sends the surveys, the value is good. If five people need logins, price the add-on before the plan.
Three discount routes are published as well: $2,000 in credit for $500 under the startup program, 50% off for students, and 15% off for NGOs. All three are contact-us routes, not self-serve checkboxes.
The renewal clause and refund rule to read before you pay
This is the part of the purchase that never appears on the pricing page. SurveySparrow's terms of service, read on October 9, 2026, set out how renewals and cancellations actually work.
On renewals the terms state that "for annual subscription renewals, there shall be an automatic increase of seven percent (7%) in the previous year's subscription fee paid by You."
Applied to Business at $720 a year, that clause puts year two near $770 and year three near $825 by our arithmetic, before any change to the published list price.
On refunds the wording is blunt: "You shall not be entitled for a refund if You terminate Your Account in the middle of a subscription period for any reason, whatsoever."
Cancellation also asks for "30 days' prior notice in writing." The pricing FAQ separately says there are no cancellation fees on yearly plans. Both are true: no fee to leave, no money back either.
None of this is unusual in SaaS contracts, and none of it is hidden. It simply sits two clicks from the price, which is exactly the pattern our note on how to read a SaaS pricing page was written for.
What verified users report
On Trustpilot, SurveySparrow holds a TrustScore of 4.0 out of 5 from 750 reviews, checked October 9, 2026. The spread is 74% five-star, 19% four-star, 3% three-star, under 1% two-star and 3% one-star.
That shape, heavily positive with a small hard-negative tail, is common for survey software. The recurring praise is ease of use. The recurring complaints are price and slow support replies.
G2 and Capterra both refused our requests on October 9, 2026, returning errors rather than pages. Where a rating is missing from this review, it is missing because the source would not open, not because it was left out.
The vendor's own counters on the pricing page read "4K+ customers," "149+ countries" and "130+ languages." Those are self-reported numbers with no audit attached, so they belong in the marketing column.
How it sits next to the tools reviewed on this site
SMBToolbox has not published a scored SurveySparrow entry, so the honest comparison is against tools already reviewed here rather than an invented ranking.
For forms rather than feedback, Jotform is the closer fit: registrations, lead capture and payment forms, with no NPS or 360 module to pay for. Choose SurveySparrow when the analysis is the point.
For employee feedback, the overlap is with HR platforms. HiBob keeps people data and engagement in one system, while SurveySparrow's 360 Assessment sits on its own priced tab.
For hiring feedback, Breezy HR collects candidate scorecards inside the pipeline, which is usually simpler than wiring a separate survey tool into recruiting.
For customer contact, feedback only helps if someone answers the phone afterwards. Nextiva and CloudTalk cover that side, and our Nextiva vs CloudTalk comparison sets out the choice.
If you are assembling a whole stack rather than one tool, start from the back-office stack for a one-person business or the best project management tools for small teams.
And if the real question is the total subscription bill, FreshBooks, monday.com and Homebase are three other per-seat renewals on this site worth re-reading at the same time.
Frequently asked questions
Does SurveySparrow have a free plan?
Yes. The pricing card lists a forever free plan with 3 active surveys, 10 questions each and 75 responses per quarter, checked October 9, 2026. The same page's FAQ says 50 responses per month instead, and the two do not match.
How much does SurveySparrow cost for a team of three?
The Business plan lists three users at $60 per month billed yearly, which is $720 a year by our arithmetic, with 36,000 responses included. Basic and Starter include one user each, per the pricing page checked October 9, 2026.
What happens after the 14-day trial?
The account drops to the free plan automatically. The trial opens Business features with a cap of 50 responses and needs no credit card to start, per the pricing page FAQ checked October 9, 2026.
Can I get a refund if I cancel?
Not in the middle of a term. The terms of service state you are not entitled to a refund if you terminate during a subscription period. Cancellation asks for 30 days' written notice and takes effect at the end of the cycle.
Does the price go up when it renews?
Yes, on annual plans. The terms of service specify an automatic 7% increase on the previous year's fee at each annual renewal. Quarterly renewals follow the published list price instead, per the same document.
Is SurveySparrow worth it in 2026?
For one person sending a lot of surveys, yes, at $19 to $60 per month billed yearly. For a small team it is poor value, because each extra login is listed at $49 per month on top of the plan.
Bottom line
SurveySparrow prices responses generously and seats harshly. For a solo operator the entry tiers are among the cheaper serious options at $19 to $30 per month billed yearly, checked October 9, 2026.
Before committing to a year, read two clauses: the automatic 7% renewal increase and the no-refund rule for mid-term cancellation. Neither is a reason to walk away. Both are reasons to start quarterly, or on the free tier.
